Jas is the founder of Cali K9® and the trainer behind Netflix’s Canine Intervention, where he helps families turn chaotic dogs into calm, confident companions.

How long does the evaluation take?+
Your evaluation is a 30-minute phone call. We never rush an evaluation.
Who will conduct my evaluation?+
Your phone evaluation will be conducted by Jas or Jay. You’ll discuss your dog’s behavior, your biggest challenges, and what you’d like to improve.
Will I speak with both Jas and Jay?+
Your evaluation will be with Jas or Jay.
Does my dog need to attend in person?+
No travel is needed. Your evaluation happens over the phone. Jas or Jay will ask questions about your dog’s behavior, history, and daily routines to understand your concerns and recommend next steps.
What can you assess over the phone?+
The conversation focuses on the behaviors you describe, when they happen, and what you’ve already tried. Based on that information, Jas or Jay will help establish training priorities and recommend an appropriate next step. If further observation is needed, they can explain what that involves.
How should I prepare?+
Choose a quiet place for the call. Have a few examples ready of the behaviors you want help with, including when they happen and how your dog responds. Bring your questions and share any previous training experience.
What if I can’t afford the training programs?+
We offer multiple levels — from the $27/month Skool community to the $497 online course. Payment plans are available for in-person and board and train programs. The evaluation will help us recommend the right program for your budget.
What breeds and ages do you work with?+
All breeds, all ages — from 8-week-old puppies to 12-year-old seniors. From Chihuahuas to Belgian Malinois. We specialize in high-drive and working breeds but our system works across all temperaments. There is no dog we won’t evaluate.
How soon can I get an evaluation?+
As soon as you commit to the evaluation you will receive an email to book yourself on our calendar. We do evaluations Monday through Friday.
