In-Person Training Agreement
I understand that dog training is not without risk to me, members of my family or my dog. I agree that in the event of injury to me, my family, my dog(s), or my personal property, I will hold Jas Leverette, California K9 Solutions® LLC, Cali K9® trainers, and the property owner(s) where the training is held harmless from any and all liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal, or property, that may have arisen out of, or in any way connected with, participation in training sessions, group classes, use of the Cali K9® training methods, or other activity held by Jas Leverette, California K9 Solutions® LLC, Cali K9® trainers, assistants and representatives.
I assume all responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to myself or others, my dog(s), other dogs or property, by my dog’s actions or by me. I understand California K9 Solutions® LLC aka Cali K9® reserves the right to determine if any dog or human behavior is inappropriate for the learning environment and safety of the other participants.
I understand that I must be committed to this training in order to be successful and that the success of this training program depends on (1) consistently attending all scheduled zoom and in-person sessions, (2) using online training regularly, and (3) working with my canine for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.
Our 48-hour Cancellation Policy applies to all in-person and private Zoom training sessions. I understand I must email the office to reschedule a session a full 48 hours ahead of my appointment or I may forfeit that session.
I understand my training package expires in three (3) months for In-Person Training Package from the date of purchase, three (3) months for Semi-Private Training from date of purchase, and three (3) months for Private Zoom package from date of purchase, and all training should be completed within those time frames. No exceptions.
I understand that dog training includes learning and reinforcing the Cali K9® training methods, terminology and techniques in training sessions without long interruptions, 15 minutes of daily practice at home, multiple owners being on the same page, and the health and age of my dog.
I understand that I may work with more than one trainer via Zoom, privates, semi-privates, or in group sessions. I understand it may not always be possible to have the same trainer and that sessions and classes may need to be rescheduled occasionally, in the event a trainer is ill or has a personal emergency, which is out of our control.
I understand Cali K9® is very transparent about what is included in training packages and when they should be completed.
Once the 72-hour cancellation window is closed, there are no refunds, no matter when your training starts. I acknowledge that my in-person training may not start "immediately", that attending scheduled training sessions is required, that 15 minutes of practice is needed on a daily basis, and I agree to these terms. I understand I must make my schedule open enough to train at the facility, attend zoom sessions, take online courses, and practice at home every day.
If included with training, the online training course cost will be deducted from refund amount if the fourth session is accessed prior to cancellation, within first 72 hours.
I understand a very tight schedule, lack of flexibility, and/or skipping in-person sessions, Zoom training sessions, online training courses, and daily home practice will get in the way of my dog's progress.
I understand that formal training and daily home practice must be consistent and uninterrupted for these training methods to work.
Since Cali K9® can’t “go home with me” to monitor the environment, consistency and daily training practice by owners and family members, I understand there are no specific promises, timelines, or guarantees that my dog will be trained.
After my training package is complete, my training journey does not end. I understand I must practice daily with my dog in all kinds of environments and use online training courses to reinforce my training. I understand may purchase an optional ongoing monthly group class subscription for only $97 month, one-one-one Zoom training sessions, and semi-private training packs. I agree to practice 15 minutes a day and go over the online dog training course(s) to help enhance and maintain results.
I understand that this training is not transferable to any other dog or party not listed as a co-owner on this contract. If my package is close to expiration, I must train on a strict schedule to avoid the risk of losing unused sessions or group classes.
I understand that performance training of any type is an activity requiring both me and my dog to be reasonably fit. I understand my veterinarian must evaluate my dog and agree that my dog is healthy and in condition to perform in this training program. My dog must be examined, treated, and vaccinated for everything listed in the Cali K9® Health Policy, and everything must be current. I have documentation to support this and will provide Cali K9® with copies prior to the time I start training.
If I’ve not made an appointment with my vet to complete health clearance, I will do so immediately
I understand that I may cancel this contract without penalty at any time within 72 hours of purchase and I acknowledge that I have already agreed to all terms and policies at checkout.
Should I choose to cancel this contract prior to the deadline, I must provide written notice of the termination by email to training@calik9.com. I understand there are no refunds or transfers to other dogs or handlers after the cancellation deadline or for any unused portions of expired packages. If included in your training, cost of the online training course will be deducted if the fourth session has been accessed prior to cancellation of contract.
I acknowledge that I already agreed to this these policies electronically prior to purchase at checkout. I agree that is the legal equivalent of my manual signature on this Agreement. I further consent to be legally bound by this Agreement's terms and conditions and that my use of a pen, keypad, mouse, stylus or other device to select an item, button, box or icon is the same as if actually signed by me in writing. I also agree that no certification authority or other third-party verification is necessary to validate this agreement and that the lack of such certification or third-party verification will not in any way affect the enforceability this Agreement or any resulting contract between me and California K9 Solutions LLC.
I also represent that I am authorized to enter into this Agreement and further agree that purchasing dog training services constitutes my agreement to be bound by the California K9 Solutions LLC company policies and the terms of this dog training Agreement.
I specifically agree that I am able to print on paper and/or download and save this Agreement prior to submitting it. I am able to locate this training agreement on the bottom menu on the website. I agree to keep my email address up to date and that California K9 Solutions reserves the right to send notices regarding this Agreement and training to the email address on file for me. I may change my email address at any time by logging in to my account at calik9.com or by notifying the office at training@calik9.com. I agree to use the same email address (if possible) when contacting the office as I used to purchase my training.
By consenting to use this electronic Training Agreement, I agree that I was able to read this Agreement, the Health Clearance, and the Company Policies on the website. I consent to receive electronically any records, notices, agreements or disclosures made to me by California K9 Solutions LLC during the course of my relationship with them.
I have read and fully understand the Company Policies. I have read and fully understand the Health Policy. *Policies are subject to change at any time. I understand this contract is binding and part of policy. I understand I must print, sign, and scan this agreement and return it to the office immediately.
